To educate, train and generate agricultural experts. To develop and transfer agricultural technology to the farmers of the region and provide technical advice and guidance to the entrepreneurs in the region. To carry out need based and applied research in agriculture to provide solutions to the problems of the farming community. To develop and transfer technology for agro based small scale industries.
To develop sound, economically viable and socially acceptable crop production technology through sustainable use of natural resources. Strengthen post graduate research in frontier areas like agricultural biotechnology, precision farming, GIS and remote sensing applications, Hi tech agriculture and horticulture. Enhancing ecofriendly crop production technology through minimum loss due to biotic and abiotic stresses. Ensuring minimum cost of production through technological intervention. Ensuring better prices to farm commodity through post-harvest technology.
